It’s that time of the year when Davaoeños are spell casted to enjoy the different toys and collectibles from the almost all Mindanao toy enthusiasts. Kids and kids at heart storm the Gaisano Mall Atrium in Bajada, Davao City to witness the display of toys from all over Mindanao. Die-cast Car Collectors are present and well represented with the Fast & the Furious Die-cast Car Collection, Matchbox and Hot Wheels. Marvel Superheroes has once more graced the event with an army of Ironman versions with tony stark, Avengers and Loki. UFC action figures are also among the display, Anderson Silva, Cain Velasquez, Shogun Rua and Chuck Liddell to name some. Voltron, Voltes V, Mazinger Z, Zoids and Power Rangers’ Megazord complete the Giant Robot builds. Anime action figures like Luffy of One Piece and other anime characters also have their place. Oldies but goodie, Starwars is present in this years event with a desert diorama theme. The center piece for the 6th Mindanao Toy Convention is a collection of Gundam Model Kits from the scale of 1/144, 1/100 and 1/100, showing the huge following of Gundam Model Kits here in the Mindanao Region.
DC Comics heroes I believe were not yet displayed as there were some shelves that was still empty. Batman can never be absent for this event (lol).
Toys for sale are also available on the side, for people who want to buy something for their children or maybe just buy for themselves. Indeed, this is an event which brings the children within us. Bring your kids and share with them this toy-filled event.
