Over this weekend, Gaisano Mall of Davao celebrates the “Art for LOVE for Art” Featuring The Works of Kublai Millan at the Atrium. A long line of excited students at the registration showed how much the students of today enjoy art. The art event was participated by more than 200 students from different schools in Davao City.
Part of the event was Kublai Millan’s display of artwork. His coloring book which depicts “United by Our Differences”, Kublai seeks to invite both young and old to imbibe the concept of peace and oneness with all people through an activity that can be done by an individual or a group. Most of all, Pinagkaisa ng Pagkakaiba coloring books seek to bring the concept of peace and oneness to the simpliest level, in the eyes of a child and the artist in the child. It invites the child to just be, and in the process connect with their being.
The freedom wall was also unveiled to the public and Kublai along with his friends painted it during the event.
DigitalDavao was honored to be invited to witness the event. Personally, the event inspired us, seeing the students of Davao joining events of art like this makes us happy. Icing on the cake was to meet The Kublai Millan, got my photo-op with him plus gave me a copy of his newest coloring book with an autograph. Daghang Salamat Sir.
