National Bookstore held the Color and Calligraphy Fair Davao last January 28 to 29, at the Abreeza Ayala Malls. The country’s leading bookstore made a grand event targeting the artistic sector of the market. The Fair was open to every artist in mind, heart and deed.
The event started early as a wave of artistic zombies came to the venue and rushed to check all the products offered by the participating brands. It was a colorful day indeed. I was reminded of how it was in school, young and colorful, full of life.
Here are the list of participating brands in the Color and Calligraphy Fair Davao:
- Faber-Castell
- Marvy Uchida
- Sakura Color Products
- Limelight
- EVO
- Sharpie
- Prestige Paper Products
- Uni Pin
- Derwent
- Pilot Pens
National Bookstore also displayed the International Arrivals such as Carandache, Sennelier, Chameleon and PanPastel.
The event had working tables for the fair-goers to try-on their new art materials, they also had huge art walls and art displays by featured artists. Derwent brought in Mr. Celvic Villacorta to display some of his artworks and shared his personal workflow in doing his craft.
I personally am a fan of Celvic. A few weeks ago I joined the facebook group Guhit Pinas and Celvic was one of the many creative pinoys on the group. Never had i thought that I’d meet him in person. Thank you for the small talk and photo-op. I look forward to more of your masterful artworks.
The participating brands was indeed so kind to all bloggers who came into the event, they introduced to us the different products they had and shared some sample product for us to test it out ourselves.
It was indeed a very colorful and artistic event. The radiance of happiness it brought to the art community of Davao. Thank you National Bookstore for bringing us so much materials to enjoy and choose from.
