DigitalDavao reviews the ASUS ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDMES. The monitor can be your upgrade from the IPS, TN or VA monitor that you currently use. 27 inch display, 1440P resolution, 240Hz refresh rate, 0.03ms response time and glossy finish, the XG27AQDMES is definitely packed with features that elevate your gaming experience.
Out of the box are Display Port, HDMI and power cable, VESA mount adapter and carrying pouch. The three main parts of the monitor are the base, stand and monitor. In true ROG Strix fashion the monitor visually gives you “serious gaming vibes”.
Assembly is simple, attach the base and the stand together first then connect the monitor to the stand while faced-down on the foam container it came with. This is to avoid unnecessary touches on the monitor display. The lock clicks and you are all set.
The input panel is found on the lower left side of the back of the monitor. Two HDMI, a Display Port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. On the lower right of the back is where the power plug goes.
On Screen Display is easy to access, just by pressing the navi stick behind the ROG logo at the bottom of the monitor. You get your usual options to adjust settings on the monitor and there’s the OLED Care option. OLED Care option allows you to set a screen saver, pixel cleaning to avoid burns and OLED Usage Info to display screen usage info over its lifetime.
DigitalDavao has long been using an IPS monitor for our computer display and we took the chance to put it side-by-side with the ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDMES. Yes! We see the increased difference on the crisp display as blacks are really deep for the OLED monitor which allows all the other colors to truly pop.
We think that the ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDMES also shines best for watching movies on your gaming PC.
Now, let’s move over to the real test, GAMING! Since this is a 240hz monitor we tested it with Quake and Marvel legends. This feels like the monitor’s natural habitat, crisp display at 1440P and high refresh rate.
The ASUS ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDMES is priced at Php 36,670.00 at the ASUS ROG Official Store in the “orange app” as of writing. ASUS ROG OLED Monitors has a 3 Year Replacement Warranty.
In conclusion, DigitalDavao highly recommends the ASUS ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDMES as a monitor upgrade if you’re planning to enter the OLED display era of your game station.
